In memory of mike baker…
In 2020, The Kids of Albany lost our leader and cast founder, Mike Baker. Mike was the driving force behind The Kids of Albany and responsible for the unique energy felt at every show.
In 2009, with the Rocky Horror scene in the capital district completely dead, Mike approached The Palace Theatre with a vision to bring Rocky Horror back to this area but bigger an better than ever before. Since then, Albany. NY has become one of the best cities to experience some good ol’ fashion Rocky Horror and that is all thanks to Mike.
Mike was truly one of a kind and is going to missed beyond belief but we know he will manage to still make an appearance in some form or another at each and every show. So anytime you are enjoying this cult classic, please think about our good friend Mike, who is responsible for bringing the magic back to Albany and for being the best leader and friend anyone could ever ask for.
